Time to Arrive: This is normally around lunch time as it gives enough time for the network and everything to be set up ready for you when you arrive. If for some reason you need to come early you need to clear it with either MixWizard or Jalada.

Time it will End: On the last day of the LAN people normally leave by 5/6PM although times will normally be said during the organisation.

Rules concerning alcohol: You can bring your own alcohol, but remember a LAN is about playing games. There normally isn't a problem with people drinking, but if you get annoying you'll get chucked outside into the cold to sober up, thought we doubt anyone can get drunk off a couple of cans!

Sound: Headphones for everyone, however we will have one set of speakers will be for music streaming off the server when we’re all not playing, eating, whatever. We will have a system set up where people can drop music into a folder and vote on what to listen to.

Food and drink: Coffee & hot water will be available at all times. Please bring some snacks to add to the pool of snacks, and you can bring pizzas, microwave meals etc. There is an oven available if anyone wishes to use it.

Other people: Please do not invite other people to the LAN. The last thing we want is people who don’t have a computer, because people get bored easily, and that’s when things start getting broken/pinched. It may sound a bit serious, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. There’s expensive stuff at the LAN's, and we do not want others knowing that we’re holding a “Party”.

Photographs: Please bring a camera and take photos/videos. We'll pool them at the end/after the LAN and will put them on the web for everyone to take a look at!

Power: The provided power is always surge protected so rest assured you're protected from on surge spikes.There normally isnt a problem with sockets but if you have your own power strip then bring it with you.

Servers: There is a temporary LAN account set up on the server for those that do not already have an account. Details are given out at the LAN's on how to connect to them.

Network: Same as usual, network will have 100% uptime and be fully secure. No personal firewall are needed and recommend people deactivate them in order to allow free-flow of traffic. Your privacy will be respected at the LAN, no ones sniffing for passwords! Broadband access is always available, but we will be requesting people use the proxy server that is set up while we are playing games. This is so that traffic is restricted, and ping times remain low for anyone playing online (ie. MMOs, or CSS). We shouldn’t need to download anything big from the Internet, if we do then you can tell MixWizard or Jalada and it will bee done through the server, which will dynamically limit it. No torrents or file sharing must occur without permission. We aren't bothered about the breaking the law part, it's the bandwidth, if you’re not properly set up you can leech the whole connection. Oh, and all the network cables are provided.
